Also on 6 June 2027 · local elections

17 governors,
19,609 local offices.

Local elections held the same day as a federal one use a single casilla for both (LGIPE art. 253.1), run with the state's electoral institute (OPLE). On 6 June 2027, 31 states also elect 1,098 local deputies and 18,057 municipal posts.

Current governor and party, 4 November 2026; governors are elected for six years and may not serve again.

Polls · encuestas · LGIPE art. 213

Three days,
then the western close.

“Durante los tres días previos a la elección y hasta la hora de cierre de las casillas, queda estrictamente prohibido publicar, difundir o dar a conocer […] los resultados de las encuestas o sondeos de opinión” (art. 213.2). Article 251.6 sets the end at the official close of the casillas “en las zonas de husos horarios más occidentales del territorio nacional”.

For 6 June 2027, that means from 3 June 2027 until 19:00 (Mexico City) on polling day (18:00 in Baja California, which keeps US summer time). Exit polls and private quick counts follow the same rule (Reglamento de Elecciones art. 134). Pollsters must notify INE and publish their method; publishing in the window is an electoral offence.

This site applies the rule in code (src/lib/mexico/rules.ts): inside the window this page prints no polls, the prediction-market panel shows no prices, and the results feed waits for the westernmost close.

Prediction markets · no link

Prices on prediction markets are what traders pay for contracts on an outcome; they are not polls or forecasts, and the people trading are not a sample of Mexican voters. Betting on elections has no permit from the Secretaría de Gobernación under the Ley Federal de Juegos y Sorteos, so prices are shown with attribution and no link to the market. They are withheld during the poll ban, like the polls.
