470 seats behind the cabinet,
110 outside it.

Indonesia's president needs no confidence vote, yet Prabowo brought 7 of the 8 DPR parties into or behind his cabinet — the Koalisi Indonesia Maju "Plus". PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri's party, stayed out and calls itself a balancing force, while its Puan Maharani is Speaker.

  • Government · Koalisi Indonesia Maju Plus 470 81% of the DPR: past two-thirds (387), the bloc that could carry even an impeachment petition on its own (UUD 1945 art. 7B(3)).
  • Outside the cabinet 110 PDI-P alone: enough to make itself heard, not to block anything that needs a simple majority of 291.

Turnout · partisipasi pemilih

Four in five
turned out.

KPU's own participation rates (decree 1043/2024): ballots used over the registered electorate, including those who voted on the additional lists (DPTb, DPK). Voting is not compulsory. In parts of Papua's highlands communities may vote by the noken system, customary leaders casting the group's votes, which the Constitutional Court has accepted; hence turnouts near 100% there. Electors abroad vote for President, the DPR (Jakarta II district) and not the DPD.
