✶ 343 MPs · 105 senators
Every member,
both houses.
Canadians elect the 343 members of the House of Commons (Chambre des communes), one per riding, by first-past-the-post. The 105 senators of the Sénat are not elected: the Governor General summons them on the prime minister's advice, and they sit until 75.
House standings · November 6, 2026
From minority
to majority.
The April 28, 2025 election left Mark Carney's Liberals at 169 seats, three short of 172. Floor crossings and by-election wins gave them a majority on April 13, 2026, won between elections; they hold 173 seats today.
| Party | 2025 election | Today | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Liberal Party of Canada | 169 | 173 | +4 |
| Conservative Party of Canada | 144 | 137 | −7 |
| Bloc Québécois | 22 | 21 | −1 |
| New Democratic Party | 7 | 5 | −2 |
| Green Party of Canada | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| Vacant | 0 | 6 | +6 |
The NDP's five seats are below the twelve the House requires for recognised-party status, which brings research funding and set speaking slots.

Via House of Commons and Wikimedia Commons.Majority and share are each riding's official 2025 result, shown only when it was this MP's own; by-election winners are marked instead. The House lists no "first elected" date, so "how they got the seat" uses Elections Canada's 2025 incumbent marker: re-elected (sat at dissolution in 2025) or newly elected. 18 ridings were renamed by Bill C-25 (S.C. 2026, c. 20) after the election; the explorer uses the House's current names.

Sénat du Canada · Senate of Canada
Appointed,
until 75.
Since 2016 prime ministers have chosen senators from the recommendations of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments, and most new senators sit in groups rather than party caucuses. Only the Conservative caucus still belongs to a party. 13 of 105 seats are vacant; Mark Carney has made 4 appointments.
Seats by province
Senate seats are fixed by division in the Constitution Act, 1867 (ss. 21–22), not by population.
