◆ Results · National Electoral Commission (NEC)

Counted by the councils,
proclaimed by the NEC.

The 2026 local elections are under way: 2 of 7 rounds held. Next: Sector councils (imirenge), Saturday 7 November 2026. Only the National Electoral Commission proclaims results, provisionally within five days of a poll and finally within seven days after that; it publishes them as PDF documents, listed below as they appear.

Titles are the NEC's own (mostly Kinyarwanda: by'agateganyo provisional, burundu or ndakuka final, abakandida candidates). Labels are read from the title; only the NEC's own final or provisional results are marked as results.

No results document for the 2026 local elections is in the NEC's listings yet. The NEC publishes no machine-readable results and no results by polling station; councils elected indirectly are announced as lists of names. Read through /api/rw/results.

Turnout by province, 2024 · Districts: NISR / Open Data Rwanda via geoBoundaries (CC BY 4.0); Lake Kivu and neighbours: Natural Earth · NEC final results

The NEC publishes results by province and for the diaspora, not by district: each district is shaded with its province's figure. The colour scale is stretched over a narrow range (98.67%–99.64% for Kagame) so that differences show.

15 July 2024 · Chamber of Deputies, 53 list seats · NEC final results

Six lists
share 53 seats.

8,901,453 valid list votes (6,423 invalid). A list needs 5% of the valid votes to share in the seats (445,073 votes); the NEC rounded each list's share to a whole per cent first, so PDI, the Green Party and PS Imberakuri, with 4.51–4.61%, took two seats each. The statute does not mention rounding; read literally it would have given RPF-Inkotanyi and partners 43 seats. Seat lab →
