House of Representatives · 150 divisions · 2025 boundaries

One hundred and fifty
divisions.

Each division elects one member. Within a state, divisions are drawn by the AEC's independent redistribution committees to hold about the same number of electors: on average 120,611 enrolled in 2025. Longman (QLD) had the most, 142,744; Clark (TAS) the fewest, 74,304: seats are shared between the states by population, but each original state has at least five (Constitution s 24), which gives Tasmania smaller divisions.
